Enactus Groningen is part of a global network of Enactus teams all working towards one goal: enabling a better world for all of us.
Enactus Groningen was founded in February 2016 and is supported by the University of Groningen, Enactus Netherlands and the business community. Currently, the team consists of 33 students from the University of Groningen. Opportunities are used to solve social, economic and environmental problems through entrepreneurship. The goal of these start-ups is to have a discernible positive impact on the issues. Central to all Enactus’ projects and events is the transfer of knowledge in an innovative and entrepreneurial way.
Social entrepreneurship
Enactus students set up social enterprises together. Like any business, a social enterprise provides a product/service with a matching revenue model. However, making a profit is not the main goal, but a means to achieve a social mission.
IIn doing so, Enactus works closely with academics and business leaders to guide students in setting up a business.
We believe that a diverse team leads to the best results. As a result, students from all fields of study are welcome at Enactus!
Academics
Each team is attached to an educational institution. Enactus Groningen is linked with the University of Groningen. The University of Groningen provides a team of academics to guide and support students in setting up a business plan.
