Since January 2018, the Feestjesfabriek has been working on a concept that gives every child an equal opportunity. One in five children in the province of Groningen grows up below the poverty line. This can mean that the child does not get a hot meal every night, walks on shoes that are too small and cannot join a sports club. Let alone the budget for a birthday party. The Feestjesfabriek gives these children the chance to celebrate their birthday with friends.
Concept
The “Feestjesfabriek” organizes children’s parties that let a child be a child. It works through a one-for-one model. Proceeds from the children’s parties will be used to organize free parties for underprivileged children. In collaboration with art students from Minerva Academy Groningen, different types of parties will be organized.
Mission
We want to offer every child a fun and carefree day. In doing so, we offer every child the chance to celebrate his or her birthday or be able to participate in a friend’s birthday party.
Vision
We believe that every child deserves a celebration regardless of their background. By doing so, we hope to combat the isolation that some children find themselves in.

Taking minutes during meetings, making schedules, communication with parents children, evaluations, application forms, optimizing HR policy
Treasurer: Aniek Barbier
Responsible for company finances, prepares invoices, manages accounts, keeps track of all expenses/income in Excel, reports through annual report to board;
External: Nina Whiteside
Responsible for independently seeking out and approaching potential partners and clients, responsible for maintaining relationships with partners.
Events: Noa Sondeijker
Responsible for all events.
Marketing I & II: Carlijn van der Weerd & Anna Hulsebos
Responsible for updating media channels such as a website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, point of contact for external relations such as press.
